Press Release
Print Manager Plus Education Version 6.0 Released for Schools, Universities and Libraries Saving Average Schools Over $1,000 Monthly
Clearwater, Florida, London, England
26 September 2005 /BUSINESS WIRE/
Software Shelf International, Inc. today announced the release of Print Manager Plus® Version 6.0 for Education for total accounting and cost control of all printing in schools, universities and libraries. Version 6.0 is a major upgrade to its award winning Print Manager Plus software and is the first Microsoft verified and logo certified software to support Hewlett-Packard® Multifunctional printers' (MFP) walk-up copying or printing. It supports all printer brands, printers and plotters of any size and operating systems.
Print Manager Plus printing accounting software eliminates printing waste in schools by tracking or restricting printing by users. According to an industry study, the average school saves over $1,000 per month in paper and toner. The license cost starts at $199 for the class room license or library version with a year of support. It controls printing from all operating systems and all printer brands. It installs on any Windows print server and needs no training. It is supported by Software Shelf® award winning support centres in the US and UK in 12 European languages. It is available in English and German.
This new version is a major step in Software Shelf® development of product feature improvement to meet the needs and wants of its school customers at a license cost far below anything the market has seen. The New and Improved points of Print Manager Plus 6.0 include hundreds of new features to meet every need for reporting or restricting how much is printed to bring about with ease and simplicity total cost control and accounting of printing. Installation is on the Windows print server with an agent for workstation connected printers. Its new Release Station component is ideal for libraries who want to strictly control printing of visitors. It is fully integrated with MS Access installation wizard, as well as the MSDE installation wizard or SQL installation wizard at the option of the administrator.
Print Manager Plus is in use by thousands of government agencies, schools and corporations world-wide.
- A complete software solution. Print Manager Plus requires no additional hardware between the printers and your network.
- Fast and easy to set up and maintain. Installs in seconds and immediately tracks all printing that spools through your print server or workstation based printers. In minutes, with the use of Print Manager Plus, you can implement a quota system or group/printer specific restrictions for your entire network, and report on full printing usage for a clear picture of Total Cost of Ownership.
Windows® compatibility. Print Manager Plus does NOT use custom port monitors or replace any of the Windows system files.
Over 10,000 customers use it including Microsoft (who offer it to the Public Sector in Europe, Middle East, and Africa), Hewlett-Packard, Dell (who offer it as part of their standard server software), Oxford University, Siemens, CNN, NASA, and the Red Cross, along with schools, universities and companies in nearly every country.
