Overview

Reports Center is an add-on option designed specifically for Print Manager Plus customers. Working with and licensing Microsoft Reporting Services Client Runtime technology we have designed a fully web based information portal that will allow our customers to view all printing data and traffic via pre-made Reports, Graphs, and Statements.

The product is licensed as a Standard and Professional version. Besides the existing current built-in reports already included within Print Manager Plus, this new add-on option and many new additional features highlight the precise, and important data collected.

The scalability of Reports Center has been engineered for any size Workgroup, Network, or Enterprise. If you are a small business with only 2 printers or a University Department with 100 students, or a corporate enterprise with multiple locations and thousands of users and printers, Print Manager Plus Reports Center can be easily installed and administered.

Reports Center will do the work for you. Linking directly into Active Directory not only will you be able to see complete print traffic dashboards, and full network printing traffic easily, but users, students, clients, departments, etc... can also login and see their dashboards, built specifically for them.

Installation

Licensing

Reports Center Standard is licensed to the Print Manager Plus database, and must be installed on the same system running the database.

Reports Center Professional is licensed to the Print Manager Plus database, and can be installed on any machine within the same domain as the database.

Installation Options

Standard editions allows installation to a directory of your choice. Within this directory all reporting services websites will be run via IIS against any SQL Based Print Manager Plus database on that same server.

Professional editions allow installation to a directory of your choice. Within these directories, reporting services will be run via IIS and Web Services providing scheduled reporting options that can interface against any Print Manager Plus database with the Active Directory Domain or Forest.

Database Options

The Standard connects to an existing Microsoft SQL based Print Manager Plus database that is hosted on the same server using SQL 2000, 2005, 2008 or 2008 R2 (MSDE or Express versions). The Standard Edition uses its own built in SQL 2005 Express client runtime to assist in rendering web based reporting options to the web page that is compatible with these SQL Editions.

The Professional Edition connects to an existing Microsoft SQL based Print Manager Plus database that is hosted on the same machine, or within the same network using SQL 2000, 2005, 2008 or 2008 R2 (MSDE or Express versions). This edition uses a built in hybrid Microsoft SQL 2005 Express and SQL 2008 client runtime to assist in rendering web based reporting, and providing scheduling options and many other advanced options.

All reports are compatible with the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Active X controls allowing a variety of printing options such as Page Selection, Print Preview, Printer Selection, Copy and access to advanced printer options.

Drop Downs

Reports provide dynamic drop downs, allowing one to choose a specific date range, and then the Users, Printers, Workstations, Clients etc... that printed with the range selected.

Dynamic ranges also provided, such as Today, Yesterday, Week To Date, Last Week, Month to Date, Last Month, Last 30 Days, Quarter To Date, Last Quarter, Year to Date, Last Year and Last 12 Months.

Drill Downs

Reports offer a variety of clickable fields within the Summary and Graph Reports, allowing you to view the details of each job that counted against that total in a separate window.

Report Delivery by Email

Report Center Professional also interfaces with existing Microsoft SQL Email Delivery Extensions. This allows reports to be setup to be emailed via a schedule as embedded MHTML or attached as XML, CSV, Acrobat (PDF), Excel, TIIFF or MS Word formats.

These emails allow for multiple advanced scheduling options by Single time Send out, Hour, Day, Days of the Week, monthly, quarterly and more.

Email options include, select single or multiple recipients, customizable Subject Line and comments.
